Speaker:
Robert Sty, PE, LEED AP
Bio:
Robert Sty, PE, LEED AP has practiced in the A/E/C industry for almost 25 years and is a Vice President within HDR, Inc’s Technology Sector focusing on data centers, telecommunications, and other mission critical facilities. He holds a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and graduate certificate in Technology & Engineering Management from Stanford University. Over the past 15 years he has been involved in the data center industry through design and program management in some of the most complex and sustainable facilities. In 2007 Robert was the ASHRAE Central AZ Chapter President and over the years has presented at numerous conferences including AFCOM, 7x24 Exchange, and CAPRE events. He resides in Chandler with his wife Jennifer, daughter Maddie, and two dogs (Simone and Tucker).

The data center industry was already poised for a strong 2020 when COVID, work from home, and the U.S. election turned the year upside down. We will look at the data center industry in 2020, and what it means for 2021, including Phoenix.
